A traditional village on Lower Olympus, 600 m. above sea level. Its principal characteristics are the 17th and 18th century stone houses and the Byzantine Church of St. George in the paved square.
Above the village there is a beautiful forest in which you can go for a walk and marvel at the wonderful flora and fauna of Olympus as well as the charming small chapels of Agion Apostolon and the Fountain of Life. You can also have a good time enjoying local cooking in the traditional tavern here.
The wetlands of Nei Pori are but a short distance away to the South of the village. 9 km. seawards lies the village of Nei Pori which caters for all the needs of the visitor. There are hotels in all categories, rooms to rent, restaurants, fish taverns, Ouzeries and a wide variety nocturnal of entertainment.
Situated 45 km. South of Katerini, it is easily accessible from the National Road E75. (Junction: Platamonas)
