Both Greek and International films are screened on a regular footing during the winter months (September to May) at the Cinema EFKARIPIDI in Katerini.
The Cinema Club of Katerini also puts on shows at NELE, the County Social and Folklore Centre.
Another film venue is the Cultural Centre (Politistiko Kentro) in Litochoro.
During the summer months films are screened at the open air Municipal Cinema on the roof of the Town Hall in Katerini, and also at open air theatres in Platamonas and Leptokarya.
The Katerini Cinema Club The Katerini Cinema Club, one of the cultural organisations of the town, first operated in 1962. It was revived in 1976 by a new group in the town and has continued from then to the present day in the Aithousa Mouson (Hall of the Muses) in the Hatzogleio Hall (NELE).
It's basic function is putting on a weekly film show during the winter months, and offers a range of well known films of social significance. It co-operates with other associations in the town, such as the Ministry for Culture. Films are shown in 16mm format and video.
It is a member of the Greek Association of Film Societies (OKAE), and takes part in all the activities organised by this association.
Since 1995 it has also presented film shows at the cinema on the roof of the town hall in Katerini under the auspices of the People's cinema group of the Ministry of Culture.
Finally, since 2000, it has become involved in the Film Festival of Thessalonica, with the support of the Town council.
