The Ancient Theatre of Dion
This is the venue for productions during the Olympus Festival, and has welcomed many well known theatrical companies to its stage, such as the National Theatre Company.
The State Theatre of North Greece and many companies both from Greece and abroad.
The "Pegasus" Theatre
The "Pegasus" theatre was founded in Katerini in 1982 by students from the Drama School of the State Theatre of North Greece and for all these years has functioned as a theatre company and a theatre workshop. The company produces two plays each year, and since 1990 has added a children's production to its repertoire which is enjoyed by hundred's of children each year.

The Theatre Workshop "Avlea"
The theatre workshop "Avlea" was created by producer Andreas Michail, a member of the Greek Association of Theatrical Producers, the European association of Producers (F.E.R.A) and the National Association of Media Entertainment (M.E.I.) with the purpose of providing a cultural, educational and entertainment centre for art.
The workshop organises activities, as well as a children's theatre, a cultural centre and a theatre company.

The Municipal Theatre Group of Litochoro "Masks"
Founded in 1984, the idea for its creation came from the Town Council who felt obliged to make use of the "Steki Neolaias". Many plays have been performed under producers such as B. Saladini, G. Siasio, Kostas Mistakidis and Haris Amanatidis.
In July 2000 on the Plateau of the Muses on Olympus at a height of 2,800 m they performed the theatrical drama "Prometheus Unbound" by Aeschylus.

The Theatre of Rahi
This theatre company, part of the Association of PATRIA from the village of Rahi, is well known in the theatrical world. It has had the good fortune to produce many works in Rahi, Katerini, and many venues in the villages of Pieria, as well as other towns in Macedonia. It has also taken part in a variety of festivals. In April 1999 it performed for first time abroad, in Bucharest, the play "Paramithi horis Onoma" (Fables without Name) by Jacob Kampanelli.

The Cultural Association "PATRIA", Rahi Pieria.
The association is located at the village Rahi, that is situated 16 Km. from Katerini. It was established on 1977 by the name of "Orfeas". The Cultural Association "PATRIA" organises many activities, such as theatre, dancing, music, folk art, publications, etc. Worth notice is the production of a CD -Rom titled "Ta Dimotika tou Olimpou" (Traditional Songs of Olympus).

The "Church Theatre Group" was founded in 1995. The purpose of the movement is both to act and to teach, but also to entertain the young people of the Diocese, and not only them.
The first major production which was put on by the "Church Theatre Group", in association with the THEATRE RAHI was "DIAKOS" in March 1996. This was followed by a comedy by Dimitrios Kokkos "THE LYRE OF GERONIKOLA" in May 1997. The "SACRIFICE OF ABRAHAM" was their most recent production in 2001.

Other Theatrical Groups
There are many other theatre groups operating in Pieria putting on worthwhile productions.
The Pondian Theatre and the Country Theatre of Macedonia are based at the Pondian Association of Nea Trapezounda "ALEXANDROS IPSILANTIS".
The Cultural Association of Kato Agios Ioannis has a theatre group, and other groups include "ARISTOTELIS" at Kataha, "ELPIS" at Moschopotamos, the Spiritual Centre of Kolindros, The Pondian Theatre at the Railway Station in Katerini and other Pondian and Children's theatre groups.
